I bought it because of the steel and its looks and it does not disappoint. The opening (closing) action is extremely satisfying, easy and smooth. Good value!

This is the highest quality and most gorgeous knife you can get for the price. By a wide margin. The machining is done to a precision that rivals $500 knives. The omega springs are perfectly high tension, and adjustable. Even the clip is high quality, not made of thin cheap metal stock like most budget knives. I can’t say good enough things about this knife. Buy one, before they sell out.

Absolutely love it. I remember seeing the prototype and knowing it would be an amazing knife. I have the Black Stone wash with black aluminum and the fit and finish is wonderful, along with the action it's very crisp. Definitely one of my top 10 favorite knives.
This is an absolutely phenomenal knife! Look, I own knives from $50-$1800 and this knife is better than some of my knives that were substantially more. I was pleasantly surprised by the color when I saw it in person, it’s beautiful. The milling is very well done, and offers outstanding grip. Speaking of grip, the ergonomics are phenomenal on this knife! The blade shape is a very useable modified sheepsfoot with lots of belly for cutting and slicing, and it also has a low tip for easy utility cuts. Both the fuller and the studs work flawlessly for deployment. Thumb flicking, and reverse flicking are great, and the bearings are glassy smooth. The blade jimping is very grippy without being overly aggressive, and I really appreciate the forward jimping as well. The finger choil has been milled perfectly to aid in a “choked up” position for more control, it’s actually a very useable choil… even for large fingers. Lots of companies miss the mark on both the choil, and the jimping but Penrose has excelled my expectations. The clip is a standard clip that is also reversible for left hand users. Being “standard” doesn’t mean that it isn’t great though….the tension is really good, it goes in and out of pocket with ease and it’s completely deep carry. The matching milled backspacer is a nice touch, and there is an integrated lanyard pin. Again, I have much more expensive knives that use barrel spacers instead of a backspacer. A backspacer adds not only a touch of style, but also adds to the rigidity of the scales. Now let’s talk action…. It’s really….really good. I nearly passed on this knife simply because I’m beyond tired of “crossbar locks”, Penrose again exceeded my expectations. The action is better than 90% of the crossbar locks I own. The omega springs (which have 3 adjustable positions) seem thicker than typical omega springs, and in turn there’s more tension. The action feels like there’s actually a detent instead of just a sloppy, very light and unenthusiastic action that’s found on many others. Lockup is super solid, and disengagement of the lock is simple, yet pleasantly smooth. I’d also like to note, the lockbar studs (the “nubs” that are exposed) are very functional without being aggressive. They are a bit larger than many others, which aid in easy manipulation of the lock. All in all I am very impressed with Penrose Knives… the ergos, materials, performance, and aesthetics are phenomenal. This is my first, but certainly will not be my last knife from this company.

Awesome EDC knife. Comes super sharp out of the box & very fidget friendly.  One of my favorite knives of my collection.
What an awesome knife. The detent tension right out of the box is perfect. The lock tang is sharp, release is smooth as butter. This knife has become one of my top 3 carry knives. I'm not a big CM154 fan, after I put a mirror edge on this blade, I was impressed with how well the edge has maintained with usage. Great work on this model. Would love to see a similar model with titanium scales and a super steel blade, maybe a little more jibbing on the top of the blade as well.
This was am amazing find. The stasis is in my top 3 knives that I've owned (and I've owned a few). I love the blade shape and geometry. For my hand size, the ergonomics are fantastic and I have a great hold in a variety of positions. The action, fit and finish, and the crossbar lock are exceptional. Well done!

The Stasis is an outstanding knife. Great materials, the build quality/fit and finish are superb for a knife in much higher price ranges. HRCis on point and the crossbar action isone of the best I’ve handled. My only complaint, is that I missed the Brass and black version.

This is my second Penrose knife - my first was the Otarida. Ihave lived them both. The fit and finish gives the feel and performance of a much more expensive knife. I am super happy with my purchase!

Incredible value at this price point. Whether you like cross bar locks or not, the action is so snappy and smooth on closing. The utilitarian blade shape is great. The textured, shiny aluminum is pretty sweet too. My only nitpick is the reversible pocket clip. I don’t love it and will swap it out if I can find a better one.
